They would call us "family" so we would form deeper bonds with one another and to center their power.
They would cry at the end of a work day saying, "we are the luckiest people in the world to have this job!" as we would go back to our twelve hour work day.
Shit my pastor said is a night where we expose, name, and process the trauma and abuse we have endured for way too long. We will have stories where we will laugh at the absurdity, cry at the reality, and inspire one another as we heal.
